Hagia Polis Project. Excavations at the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. Vol. 1 – Project and methodology

Francesca Romana Stasolla is Full Professor of Christian and Medieval Archaeology at Sapienza University of Rome. She serves on the editorial boards of various scholarly journals and is a member of numerous academies, including the Pontifical Roman Academy of Archaeology and the German Archaeological Institute in Rome. As scientific director of the archaeological investigations at the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, she leads the Hagia Polis Project on behalf of Sapienza, developing a methodological framework that integrates stratigraphic excavation, 3D GIS documentation, interdisciplinary analyses and a critical re-reading of the historiographical tradition in Jerusalem. She is the author of hundreds of scholarly publications, including books, journal articles, and contributions to edited volumes.
